This software tool lets you share a scanner from multiple PCs connected in a LAN.

This software lets you share a scanner device over the network. The program will work with any TWAIN compatible scanner device. Sharing is possible through the browser on the user`s machine. Now you cannot only scan a document, but get a print of the same scan. That can be an easy way of a duplicate copy of the original document. The printer too can be shared over the LAN of course. Depending on the printer available, you could obviously take color prints. That makes the whole set up into a color duplicating machine. Access to the setup can be on the basis of IP addresses, and you could choose to impose a number of copies ordered from each authorized node. Multiple scanners can be used on the machine. The LAN can be a mixed one of Windows and Mac as well as devices like PDAs.

Scan can be directly to PDF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, JPEG2000 with multiple page scanning, automatic document feeder and duplex scanning is supported. The scans can be flipped or inverted without needing to get separate image processing software into your machine. With this base set up, you could have scans sent out direct to an email address and let OCR printed pages to be converted to editable files. White detection capability would let you take out blank pages automatically. The interface is intuitive and lets you figure out what needs to be done easily. Controls are grouped under tabs.
